About the Fair
The Whimmydiddle Arts & Crafts Fair is a one-day extravaganza of shoppers and booths filled with unique handmade creations.
The Whimmydiddle attracts 200 artists from 12 states and over 3,500 shoppers. Vendors are selected from hundreds of applicants dedicated to bringing the best of the best to the Scott City show.
Since its creation in 1972, the Whimmydiddle has grown from a small, citywide event, to a large regional event that many locals and non-locals look forward to on the last Saturday of September.
In addition to visiting artists, the Whimmydiddle also features delicious fair food, including funnel cakes, curly fries, soft pretzels, fresh squeezed lemonade and cherry limeades, kettle corn, homemade ice cream, steak and chicken gyros, bierocks, roasted almonds, peanuts and cashews, cotton candy, shaved ice, and more.
